Ghana's Assistant Programme Manager, Ezekial, regularly sends us updates of the trips the students have been on. Like all of our destinations, Ghana has some amazing attractions and Ezekial previously worked in travel, so is perfectly placed to give the students top tips about where to head on weekends.
"At the moment Cape Coast is a popular destination among the housemates. As well as visiting the fort and Elmina, the students like to go to "Hans Cottage" where they can see huge reptiles.
Another popular destination is the tropical rainforest of Kakum, where you can stay in the canopy overnight. This picture shows Edward Moseley, Whitney Gemmill and Laura Goodfellow enjoying the tweeting birds in the tropical rainforest as they stroll on the seven bridges of the 130ft height canopy walkway at the National Park"
"The adventure continues as housemates explore eastern region of Ghana. The tour was fun from the start to the finish. A visit to the popular “twin falls” at Boti was a tough one for housemates - Claire and Courtney had to carry their hosts, who insisted on going to the attraction with them!"
