For those of us in Nepal this weekend, there is one big party about to descend on the capital city... the annual festival “Jazzmandu”!

This year the organisers mission is to put Kathmandu on the international jazz circuit and with performances from countries as wide reaching as America, Canada, Holland, England,  Norway, Germany, Australia, Israel, Indonesia, Pakistan, and India, they have already gone some way to making this festival an international hit. The Nepal tourist board is behind them, and have been promoting the festival across the country, as well as overseas.

Along with performances from world class jazz stars, they have workshops for students and a peace parade that involves music, dancing and prayer chanting.
